Guedel Airway

The guedel airway is colour-coded to make it easy to select the right size. The Guedel airway is used to prevent the tongue from sliding back and blocking the airway while the patient is under anaesthesia. The patient can be artificially respirated through the guedel, or the tube can be placed next to the guedel to prevent it being bitten and blocked as the patient regains counsciousness.
